Experience the floral festivities of Chingay 2024 as performers and individuals come together like petals unfurling and blossoming to light up this annual night parade. Be enthralled by Singapore’s longest floor projection ever for a street parade interlaced with creative graphics, special visual effects, and interactive elements for an unrivaled parade experience in this beautiful Chingay garden! Theme “Blossom”, flowers will be the central motif throughout the parade consisting of six acts with different flowers showcasing different aspects of Singapore’s rich tapestry of culture and traditions, and narrated by two main characters – the Gardener and the Flower Fairy.
Theme : BLOSSOM
The motif of BLOSSOM embodies the concepts of personal and communal growth, transformation, and prosperity, reflecting Chingay's vision of bringing together individuals who share similar aspirations to thrive as a unified community. Each opening petal represents the blossoming of diverse talents, skills, and communities, coming together in harmony to celebrate Singapore's vibrant diversity of cultures and customs. Flowers will take center stage in this captivating narrative led by The Gardener and the Flower Fairy, guiding us on an enchanting journey of unity and flourishing.

Act 1 - ZEST
Inspired by our National Flower, Vanda “Miss Joaquim”, with its vibrant colours, hardiness and resilience -qualities that reflect the Singapore spirit.
Act 2 - SHINE
Flowers go through the cycle of growth. This act will feature children in a variety of youthful performances, to depict the seedlings of our nation, preparing to blossom.
Act 3 - GLOW
On the other spectrum are our flowers who have blossomed beautifully, who have devoted time and effort in nurturing the next generation. This act will feature our seniors in a youthful light, showing how they age actively and gracefully.
Act 4 - BRILLIANCE
Singapore blossoming into a multicultural society, coming together to celebrate each other’s culture.
This act will showcase our local and international cultural groups.
Act 4 - JAPAN ASSOCIATION SINGAPORE
Cherry blossoms, also known as the "Sakura", lit up the floor with performers from the
Japanese Association Singapore (JAS) in watercolor style.
Act 4 - MULTI - ETHNIC
Singapore's four major local ethnic groups were represented by these flowers; Poinsettia for the Eurasian, Magnolia Champaca for the Malay, Brahmal Kamal for the Indian, and the Peony for the Chinese.
The tiles were specially designed to represent each ethnic group, animated in an exciting motion to capture the performers' energy and grand costumes to showcase the vibrancy of our unique cultures.
Act 4 - FOREIGN COUNTRIES
Welcoming our international friends from China, Indonesia, South Korea and Thailand, represented by the Peony, Rafflesia, Hibiscus and Cassia fitsula flowers respectively and also their individual iconic landmarks in the style of various art mediums.
Act 5 - RADIANCE
Singaporeans are encouraged to blossom in their own passion and talents in a vibrant community. This act showcases our diverse community groups and how we come together to thrive as one Singapore.
